As if driving cross-country isn’t a big enough experience, we’ve also had several once in a lifetime moments along the way. So far the best has been feeding the deer at Nana’s house. There were several times we just went outside and they came walking up to the porch to get their snack. Xander absolutely LOVED it! He got the biggest kick out of throwing things for them to eat-unfortunately he doesn’t have the arm strength to actually get a piece of bread or whatever close enough for the skittish ones to be able to enjoy.
There were a few deer that would reach as far as they could to get the food right out of your hands. Xander really though those were cool. They were really fun to take pictures of too! Anyways, we would go out and feed the deer (and the squirrel that only had one eye!) a few times a day at Nana’s and the rest of the time we just kept X busy and out of things he shouldn’t be in!
I also FINALLY remembered that I brought my camera along for this trip so we were able to get some really good photos. I really like the one of us dancing above. We actually had to spin a few times just to avoid a melt down. My mommy friends weren’t kidding when they said that canines suck! This is the worst teething experience we’ve had as far as not feeling good has gone. He’s had a fever for the majority of the last week and just hasn’t been himself. For example, my good eater is barely eating anything. This morning he did eat TWO servings of oatmeal, so I’m hoping he’s starting to get back to his normal self, at least as far as his appetite is concerned.
However, I’m perfectly fine if the cuddles he’s been giving out stick around after the teeth come through. I think he’s been more loving the last week than ever before in his short 18 months! He’s been coming up and wanting to be held and cuddled and Paul and I are both loving it! He didn’t even cuddle this much when we were still nursing!
Still no baby bump pictures, they’re all on the computer (I didn’t put them on my phone like the ones above!) but I’ll eventually get them on here!
Thanks for reading!
